This gate is one of the last to come out of the Burton workshop. Ian Jarvis purchased it from his brother Trevor, when he was moving to Tenbury as a plain frame.
It was chromed and sprayed locally, Trevor fitted the transfers and Ian lined the lugs. It then sat in the back of Ian's wardrobe until February 2009,
when after 20 years away from cycling, and after refurbishing his 1961 Hetchins, he decided it was time to put the 'Gate' on the road.
After hours on Ebay and an outlay of £250 they were finally on the road. Ian road just short of 2000 miles on this 'Gate' during the summer of 2009.
The equipment is all Shimano, Ultegra Octalink Chainset and Ultrgra 6 speed rear, front is also Ultegra, brakes are RX100, wheels are Rigid Ultimate Power.
Trevor is building Ian a new one which he says 'I will be riding' at the Flying Gate Weekend 2010.
